Love Balm Organic Lube in Tropic of Love is delicious.
You heard me, it’s a barely sweet, heavenly- smelling, yummy-tasting oil-based lubricant. But, to be honest, I never actually used it as a lube. I’ve used up the entire jar rubbing it into my skin. It leaves my skin soft and sweet smelling and absorbs completely. I am in love with this stuff, have gone through an entire 3oz jar and plan to order more.
Ingredients (Information on bolded ingredients sourced from SensuousBeauty.com):
Organic, Virgin Coconut Oil – Unusually rich in fatty acids, it is a very emollient skin conditioner that is soothing, moisturizing, anti-microbial, anti-fungal and anti-protozoal.
Vitamin E Oil
Organic Jojoba Oil - Jojoba is actually a liquid plant wax, made from the beans of a shrub-like plant, simmondsia chinensis. The closest oil to natural human sebum, it has advanced molecular stability and is an emollient, moisturizing humectant.
Alkanet – This biennial is cultivated for its natural dye, which is used to add a lovely reddish-pink tinge to skin care products. It is also said to be anti-inflammatory, good for bruising and muscle sprains.
Stevia Extract – This is a plant-based, calorie-free sweetener.
Pure Essential Oil of Orange (Sweet)- Antiseptic and aromatic, uplifting, reviving and stimulating.
This product should be safe for condom-free sex, anal and oral sex. It is long-lasting and absorbs nicely into your skin, leaving no residue or stickiness. It’s ideal to use as a massage oil or a bath oil. The coconut oil gives it some unique properties, keeping it solid until it reaches 76 degrees. This means you can dip your finger in and dig out a solid chunk and watch it melt before your eyes into an oil against warm skin.
I’ve used this on my cuticles and my dry, flaky winter skin with great success and the truth is I have no desire to use it for anything other than a moisturizing oil. I love the Tropic of Love scent. It’s sweet, with citrus and coconut notes.
This is an oil-based lube, so avoid using with condoms and toys that advise you to avoid oil-based lubes. And really, at this price, this isn’t really an economical choice for using with toys anyway.
